Khaldoun Abouelhosn, MD
Khaldoun Abouelhosn, MD is a board certified Internal Medicine physician specializing in Hospital Medicine. He is trained to address medical needs of adults, from health and wellness to complex medical issues, such as geriatric, hospice, and skilled nursing facility care. As the leader of Palomar Health Medical Group – Graybill’s Hospitalist Team at Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, he manages the care of very ill patients during their time in the hospital.
Dr. Abouelhosn received his bachelor of science degree in Human Physiology and Neuroscience in 2001 from the University of California at San Diego. He received his medical degree from Ross University, where he graduated with high honors, in 2006. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at Saint Mary’s Hospital (Waterbury, CT), an affiliate of Yale New Haven Hospital, in 2009. He subsequently joined Graybill Medical Group’s Fallbrook Office where, as a Internist, he provided care for patients in an outpatient setting. His focus eventually shifted to inpatient care and, in 2013, he began practicing Hospital medicine full-time.
Dr. Abouelhosn is a member of the American College of Physician and a lifelong member of the Alpha Epsilone Delta pre-professional honor society. He also speaks Arabic and French.
