At Graybill Medical Group, we have a heritage of over eighty years of providing quality and compassionate medical care to North County families. While we take pride in our longevity, we know that we must continually improve in order to provide exceptional service.
Press Ganey Survey
We have partnered with Press Ganey, a pioneer in the use of surveys to objectively measure patient experience. For more than 30 years, hospitals, physicians and practitioners have relied on Press Ganey data to help gauge patient satisfaction as well as identify areas for improvement.
Who receives the Survey?
A few weeks after an Office Visit, a representative sample of each Graybill physician’s or practitioner’s patients will be randomly selected to receive a Press Ganey survey in the mail. If you receive a survey, we highly encourage you to complete it. It typically takes less than 10 minutes to complete, and the more data we can collect, the more opportunity we have to improve our services.
Press Ganey is compliant with the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
What questions does Press Ganey ask?
The Patient Satisfaction Survey asks a patient to assign 1 to 5 stars to various aspects of their recent Office Visit. A 1-star rating indicates “very poor” service and a 5-star rating indicates “very good” service.
You will be asked to rate:
- Your care provider (his or her concern for your questions or worries, effort to include you in decisions about your treatment, information regarding medications, instructions for follow-up care, degree to which the provider used words that you could understand, the amount of time spent with you, the degree to which the provider seemed informed and up-to-date about the care you received from other providers, your confidence in the provider, and the likelihood that you would recommend this provider to others).
- Our staff (the level of concern they showed for your safety and privacy, sensitivity to your needs, courteousness and friendliness)
- Our accessibility (ease of getting through on the telephone, scheduling an appointment, promptness in returning your phone calls)
- Your overall assessment of our services
You will have the opportunity to provide comments regarding your experience with your provider. You can choose to identify yourself or remain anonymous. Both negative and positive reviews are taken into consideration.
The Press Ganey Seal of Integrity—a commitment to objective data standards
When the Press Ganey Seal of Integrity accompanies the physician star rating and reviews, you can be sure that the information is valid and objective. The measures have been tested in national validation studies to ensure reliability.
