We are delighted to welcome Dr. Ghafar Nafes, to our family medicine department. With over 75 years in patient care, our well-trained family physicians are committed to the highest standards of quality and comprehensive and preventive healthcare.
In 2005 he earned his medical degree from Hamburg Faculty of Medicine located in Germany. He completed his residency in family medicine at Mercy/Methodist Hospital in Sacramento where he served as chief resident. Dr. Nafes received his board certification in 2009. He has a special interest in preventive medicine and management of chronically ill patients.
Dr. Nafes is committed to providing healthcare to individuals and families with superior quality and value. He is devoted to providing compassionate health care to patients of all ages and building lasting, caring relationships with patients and their families. His goals are to provide you and your family with the very best medical care through illness prevention, ongoing health maintenance, and skillful disease management.
Besides English, Dr. Nafes is fluent in both German and Farsi. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer, reading and traveling overseas.
Ramin Sorkhi, M.D.

Graybill Medical Group is pleased to welcome Ramin Sorkhi, M.D., to its family of physicians. Dr. Sorkhi completed his residency in general surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, followed by an accredited fellowship in advanced laparoscopic surgery and bariatric surgery at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.
He has a special interest in minimally invasive laparoscopic abdominal surgery, and his hospital affiliations include Palomar Medical Center and Pomerado Hospital. Dr. Sorkhi is now accepting new patients at his practice in Escondido.
Michael Morelock, M.D.

Dr. Morelock graduated from Creighton University school of Medicine in Omaha, NE. He completed ENT specialty training at the National Naval Medical Center in Besthesda, MD that included training at the National Children’s Hospital in Washington, D.C. and NIH. He is board certified by the American Academy of otolaryngology.

“Dr. Kal” stands behind our groups’ skill in treating each patient as an individual considering their psychological and physical well being. He also speaks Arabic and French. Our staff is dedicated in providing you with efficient and compassionate medical care. Moreover, our suite has recently been remodeled to add to your one of kind experience with us.
Stoimen S. Evtimov, M.D.

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Evtimov to our Internal Medicine department. Dr. Evtimov graduated from medical school in Bulgaria and completed his residency program from Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, Bronx, New York. In addition to his excellent training, Dr. Evtimov brings to our group experience as a clinician in areas of emergency medicine and management of clinical trial investigations.
He is married and has a son. His hobbies include martial arts, hiking, and traveling. Other languages spoken are Bulgarian, working knowledge of German and basic Spanish.
He joins our well trained medical staff partnering to achieve your well being and good health. Our suite has recently been remodeled to add to your experience with us.
Bjorn Nordstrom, D.O.

Dr. Nordstrom has recently joined our Family Medicine department. We are happy to assist you with an appointment. Dr. Nordstrom is trained in Family Medicine and is eager to grow his practice to include patients of all ages. He received his medical degree from Touro University College of Osteopath Medicine, and completed his residency program at Natividad Medical Center. Dr. Nordstrom enjoys playing basketball, water polo, swimming and working on cars. Most of all, he enjoys raising and playing with his three boys.
Vinh Vu, MD

Welcome Dr. Vu to our Internal Medicine Department of Graybill Medical Group . He is Board-certified in Internal Medicine and is fluent in both English and Vietnamese. Dr. Vu is trained in Women’s Health, Adult and Geriatric medicine with 10 years experiencein both primary care and Hospitalist care.
He completed his residency from the University of Kansas Medical Center and received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Vu is trained in treating and providing thorough and compassionate
medical care.

Graybill Medical Group is proud to announce the arrival of Peter Jenson, M.D. to our Family Practice office in Fallbrook. We are welcoming patients to his practice. Dr Jenson is board certified in Family Medicine. He graduated from the University of California, San Diego and completed his residency at Long Beach Memorial Hospital as Chief Resident. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association. He enjoys playing basketball, golf, tennis and running.

Lawrence Pearson, M.D.

Dr. Pearson is board-certified with the American Board of Obstetrics &
Gynecology and relocated here from Central California where he has had
his own private practice. In addition to specializing in gynecology and
obstetrics, he also sees patients regarding infertility.
Dr. Pearson received his medical degree from the University of Colorado Medical School. He
completed his rotating internship at Harbor General Hospital in Torrance and his residency at
Kaiser Sunset Hospital in Los Angeles.
He is a fellow with the American College of OB/GYN and he is also professionally affiliated with
The American Medical Association and The Orange County OB/GYN society.
Manuel Tanguma III, MD

Dr. Tanguma graduated from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and completed his internship in General Surgery at Wilford Hall Medical Center in Lackland AFB, Texas. He then completed his Family Medicine residency at the Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton, CA.
Dr. Tanguma has experience in providing primary health care and urgent care both form working as a Medical Officer, Marine Division at Camp Pendleton as well as in Fallujah, Iraq.
His hobbies include jogging and Triathlons. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. He will be practicing at our San Marcos office and will be seeing patients of all ages.
